Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Human Things LLC (“Human Things,” “we”) for your use of Oracle. By creating an account or using Oracle, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
What Oracle is, and is not
Oracle offers reflection and perspective written with the help of AI, based on what you tell it. It reads your words, not the stars. It is not therapy, counseling, medical, legal, or financial advice, a diagnosis, a prediction of events, or emergency care. Its responses can be wrong or incomplete; use your own judgment, and seek a qualified professional for decisions that need one.

Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 to use Oracle. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and sign-in methods secure, and for activity on your account.
Membership and billing
- After your first reading, continuing to use Oracle requires a membership. Prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.
- Memberships are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Payment is charged to your store account.
- Memberships renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple or Google account's subscription settings. Deleting your Oracle account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Your content
You own what you write. You give us permission to store, process, and display it, and to share it with our service providers, only as needed to run and improve Oracle as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete it at any time. What Oracle writes for you is yours to use for any personal purpose.
Acceptable use
Don't use Oracle to:
- break the law or violate anyone else's rights;
- interfere with, overload, or try to gain unauthorized access to the service;
- reverse engineer it, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product;
- use someone else's account, or resell access.
Ending your use
You can stop using Oracle and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering Oracle; if we discontinue it, we will give reasonable notice where we can so you can export your data.
Disclaimers
Oracle is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not promise that Oracle will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its responses will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Human Things will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to Oracle is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Oracle after that means you accept the updated terms.
Apple
If you downloaded Oracle from the App Store, these terms are between you and Human Things, not Apple, and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent these terms do not address something.
